A Heartfelt Tribute to

My Mother, My Friend, and My Hero!

My beautiful Mother was raised in the days of the sock hop!  She was a cheerleader, twirler, and FFA Sweetheart in high school and was very popular!  She married her high school sweetheart and had 4 wonderful children.  She stayed at home with her children until the baby of the group (That's me!) was in school.

She was also the grandmother "MiMi" of 7 beautiful grandchildren.  And since 2019, we have 10 great grandchildren!  What a blessing!  But she believed that God and family were most important in life!  She so loved being with her family! And we loved her being with us!

Mother could easily be described as predictable.  She worked for the school district for 27+ years and was very proud of it!  She was at work at 7 am every morning!  She had her coffee with a morning snack and read the paper.  She was at her desk by 7:30 every day!  She was a very prompt and dedicated woman!  She was given the Top Cat award for the district a couple of times, I believe.  So she was very good at what she did, and I was indeed blessed to have worked with her on the same campus in teacher capacity.  She was the principal's secretary and kept me straight, right along with the other teachers!  Best principal's secretary I have ever seen!  So thankful for the time we had together on one of the best campuses ever!

She exercised 3 days a week (Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday).  She would usually order lemon-peppered chicken breast at restaurants.  And she ate a burger every Wednesday to take advantage of the burger special at the local diner.

She was in church every Sunday and was a dedicated member of the church choir for 30+ years!  She used to tell me that singing was twice praying!  I believe it!  And she really loved her choir member friends!  After church she would go to the donut shop and eat her spiced cake donut with a cup of coffee with a few more friends.  So, she was a very friendly and structured lady.  And lady she was!  I remember her telling me that her Dad told her before she went on her dates that he wanted her to always be a lady!  And she was indeed a very classy, respectable lady!

One of the most fond memories about Mother was that she would always write down or find beautiful and uplifting sayings or scriptures and place them on her refrigerator.  Every time I would visit her, one of the first things I would do is check out her inspirations on her frig!  We called them MiMi's refrigerator sayings!  I loved them!  I found myself inspired every time!  Through the years, Mother managed to engrave  3 inspirational truths on my heart:

All you have to do is BELIEVE!

THIS TOO SHALL PASS!

IN THE END, GOD WINS!

I use every one of them today!  And every time she would leave our gatherings, she always left us with the sweet salutation, "THANKS FOR THE PARTY!"

When she turned around 60, she started having signs and symptoms of memory loss, etc...   I cannot help but believe she knew that she was going to be facing something of great magnitude.  And face it she did!  She was indeed a beautiful and graceful woman, who was strong and relentless as she diligently fought the good fight of faith through her 12-year battle with Alzheimer's dementia.  It was a life changing experience indeed  for her and her family.  But she was without a doubt a trooper and a hero!

I always knew that Mother was a strong woman, but until I witnessed her "NEVER GIVE UP" determination throughout her battle with this dreadful disease, I had no idea what a warrior she really was!  But she was indeed a true warrior!  And quite frankly, my hero and such a blessing to our family!

In 2011, as an ultimate result of our experiences with countless hours of researching to understand and beat this thing, I completed a copyrighted documentary titled, "JOY  Comes in the Morning!  Alzheimer's or Aluminum?"  It includes discoveries and treatments that were quite effective for us.  In fact, we gave mother an aluminum cleansing treatment and was able to take her off all drugs and bring her home.  (The treatment information is included in my TIPS AND TREATMENTS link and can be found in the drop down menu under JOY IN CLEAN LIVING.)

Unfortunately, she was already in the 11th year of this battle before making these discoveries.  And she comfortably and peacefully went to be with the Lord in July 2012 while with her family at my home.  I know in my heart that she was glad she was with her family at that time!  And the last 4 months with her were priceless!  The caretakers were amazed at how well MiMi, which is what everyone called her, was doing at such a late stage.  It was something they were not used to seeing. We were so proud of her!  And I cannot help but think that if we had made these discoveries earlier in her experiences, that she would quite possibly still be with us today!  Only God knows that answer!  But I believe it is the reason it is on my heart to share it!

I can honestly tell you that my Mother was always smiling no matter what she faced!  She was an excellent example of amazing Grace to me!  And in my opinion, she absolutely exuded the Book of Romans!  God was most definitely with her and He always amazed me as well!  He would send a butterfly to remind me that He was with us over and over, and I would receive the message of new beginnings every time.  So I chose two butterflies as my logo for JOY Comes in the Morning to best represent my Mother and me in new beginnings!

I truly believe sharing these discoveries would possibly help someone.  And given her strong desire to help the hurting people, I am quite certain that if my Mother knew her experiences helped even just one person, she would be sporting that infamous MiMi smile in heaven!  Warms my heart just thinking about it! ♥

It has been on my heart to share it somehow for quite some time!  So, I have posted it below.  And my hope is that it helps many or maybe just one, all for God and our beloved Mother and MiMi!♥

THANKS FOR THE PARTY MOM! ♥

YOU ARE ALWAYS IN OUR HEARTS!♥

WE LOVE YOU AND MISS YOU DEARLY! ♥
