LIVING CLEAN SPIRITUALLY
What ever happened to the days when families went to church every Sunday and ate out afterwards for a nice treat for the week? And what happened to the family sitting around the dinner table and saying grace before their meal that they were so thankful to receive? And what about teaching your children to say their prayers before they go to bed each night? We lived in a better world when God was our top priority. It seems to me that we need to make an effort to bring Him back to the forefront.
Here are just a few simple ways to bring God back to our world one person at a time:
- Put God First and all these things will be added to you.
- Love God with all your heart mind and soul.
- Spend time with God in prayer every morning.
- Study the Bible and know the Word. God's guidance is in the bible, if we don't know what it says, how can we follow His path.
- Go to Church every Sunday. Be involved in your church in the areas that interest you or where you are needed most.
- Participate in a bible study.
- Smile and perform an act of kindness. God's Goodness is seen in you and me!
- Donate to your favorite charity or church regularly.
- Love your neighbor - This is the one thing God especially wants us to do.
- Don't be afraid of sacrifice. It is not a bad thing. It builds character.
- Die to selfishness every day! Selfishness blocks God's goodness and ultimately His best for your life.
One of the fruits of the spirits is discipline. Without discipline, I believe there is chaos. So discipline is a very important factor to living a cleaner life. Sometimes, I believe we think of discipline as something evil. But, I want you to know that it is the exact opposite of evil. DISCIPLINE IS YOUR FRIEND! It is one of the best attributes a person can have. Honestly, this is one of my biggest challenges. I have always struggled with discipline in one way or another. But, you know what?! All things are possible with God! I continue to pray for him to help me in this area and I see victories every day with it. But I know first hand that the younger you are when you gain great habits of discipline, the better life you will enJOY.
I will continue to update this page with more ideas...
May the grace and peace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all!
